This lecture documents the evolution of earring design from antiquity to present times. Earrings - so present a jewel as they frame the wearer's face - have been lovingly worn for the past 5000 years, constantly changing form. Sometimes huge and ponderous, sometimes dainty and minute, and even at times disappearing completely, earrings nevertheless have been a constant in the realm of jewelry and fashion. Join ASJH and famous historian and lecturer Amanda Triossi as she shares her extensive knowledge of ear jewels from both a professional and personal perspective.
