ASJH Scholarship

The American Society of Jewelry Historians announces a scholarship award competition for current and recent graduate students. The award, to support and encourage new scholarship in the field of jewelry, includes a $750 scholarship, publication of the winning essay in the newsletter of the Society and the opportunity to present the research in public to the members of the Society and invited guests.

Topics: All original research in the field of jewelry history is admissible.

Registration: All students interested in submitting essays for consideration must register at info@jewelryhistorians.org with the following information: name, mailing address, email address, daytime phone, institution attending or attended, year graduating or graduated, program in which enrolled. To be eligible, you must be enrolled in a graduate program or, if you have graduated, it must be within the last year and a half.

Deadline: All essays must be submitted by email no later than March 15, 2018.

Details: Essays should not exceed 2500 words. The jury, consisting of ASJH board members and museum curators, will review the submissions. The award winner will be announced in June and will receive their award at an ASJH event in the Fall.
